Syllabus:Varies from year to year but will normally include - goals and instruments of economic policy, the theory of economy policy, Australia's recent economic performance, unemployment and the labour market, competition policy, monetary policy, Australia in the world economy, productivity growth, taxation policy, health economics, national savings economics of climate change.
 
Unit Outcomes: On successful completion of this unit students will have- Understanding of the economic policy framework. Understanding of relevant economic policy issues concerning the Australian and world economies. Become able to analyse a range of topical economic problems and suggest policy prescriptions.
