Syllabus:Extension of Professional Practice (Community) 383. Studies of areas of specialty within environmental health. Studies of local government environmental health practice in rural areas. Studies of the duties and responsibilities of associated professional bodies working in close association with the environmental health officer in the community.
 
Unit Outcomes: On successful completion of this unit, students will be able to- Demonstrate an understanding of selected areas of speciality within environmental health systems including the role of associated professions. Demonstrate continued development of professional knowledge and attitudes with relation to practising Environmental Health Officers in government authorities and industry. Demonstrate the knowledge and skills required for the investigation and evaluation of environmental noise within the community or the workplace.
