Syllabus:Terminology. Acute and chronic inflammation. Healing. Neoplasms. Cysts. Pathology of body systems - cardiovascular system, respiratory system, nervous system, immune system, endocrine system, gastrointestinal system, musculoskeletal system. Dental relevance of disease conditions.
 
Unit Outcomes: On successful completion of this unit students will have - Demonstrated a general knowledge of the principles of pathology. Demonstrated a general knowledge of inflammation and immunity and their dental importance. Demonstrated an understanding of the pathology of some of the more common diseases with dental relevance.
