Syllabus:A program of practical laboratory techniques involving more advanced titrimetric analysis of samples such as saline waters by acid-base, precipitation and redox titrations, gravimetric analysis methods and qualitative semi-micro analysis for both cationsand anions.
 
Unit Outcomes: On successful completion of this units students will have a working knowledge of the use of Titrimetric methods including acid-base, redox and precipitation procedures as applied to aqueous systems, including saline water samples. They will be able to understand and apply the two common procedures for Gravimetric methods of analysis and have mastered the procedures for qualitative analysis involving the identification of common cations and anions by semi-microanalysis.
