Syllabus:Practical model making techniques for use as design and communication tools. Use of photography in the communication of models and buildings.
 
Unit Outcomes: On successful completion of this unit, students will have- Developed design literacy and techniques for architectural design process through photography and model making. Developed abilities to effectively analyse and represent architectural projects in the forms of three dimensional architectural models and photography. Increased their capacity for selecting appropriate techniques of model making and photography for design issues, for constructing clear models in simple materials and media with a high level of craft and critical thinking. Developed abilities for producing appropriate and communicative photographs.
Unit Assessment Breakdown: Assignment 1 dossier 5 %, Assignment 2 1:500 model 15%, Assignment 3 city photos 5%, Assignment 4 1:100 model 20%, Assignment 5 model photos 35 %, Project book/folio and participation 20 %. This is by grade/mark assessment.
