Syllabus:Human sexuality and sexosophy. Psychosexual development. Current research and knowledge on female and male sexuality. A range of human sexual behaviours - the Kinsey scale and the paraphilias. Some human emotions - love and jealousy. Marriage and alternatives. Sexually transmissible diseases. The effects of ageing on - sexuality, disease and disability.
 
Unit Outcomes: On successful completion of this unit students will have - Developed the ability to discuss aspects of human sexuality in a comfortable and non-judgemental manner. Developed the research skills to obtain factual information in the field of human sexuality. Developed sensitivity to the needs and problems of people encountered in a professional capacity and skills in communicating with individuals who have problems related to human sexuality.
