Syllabus:Appropriate aims and purposes. Learning experiences to fit those aims. Organising and structuring of these experiences. Media and strategies which might be used. Evaluation of the effectiveness of the experiences. Each will be examined in relation to the needs of pupils with different abilities, backgrounds, interests and enthusiasms.
 
Unit Outcomes: On successful completion of this unit students will have- Understood the aims and practices of teaching visual art in the secondary schol, with particular emphasis on the upper secondary levels and post-compulsory years of schooling. Become familiar with: Years 11 and 12 subject syllabus documents, assessments and grading structures which are mandatory to these subjects, developed appropriate visual arts and art history programs of study, structuring, organising and delivering learning experiences effectively.
