Managers and managing and its evolution, the effects of the environment. Authority delegation and decentralisation. Groups and committees. Motivation, performance and satisfaction, leadership. Interpersonal and organisational communication.
 
Unit Outcomes: On successful completion of this unit, students will have- An understanding of the fundamentals of business finance with an emphasis on the minerals industry. An understanding of the role of management in complex organisations, analytical and decision making skills, and organisational behaviour.
