Syllabus:Integration of understanding and knowledge gained from first semester Aboriginal Studies 011 coursework and the field trip (held in June) that visits Aboriginal groups in the Southwest and various sites connecting personal experience to textbook.
 
Unit Outcomes: On successful completion of this unit, students will have - The ability to identify past and present policies in Aboriginal communities. Comprehended past and present Aboriginal political activity. An awareness of current governmental Aboriginal Affairs Policies. Explained the key features of the community organisations and government bodies covered in the unit. Evaluated the current concerns of Aboriginal people. Discussed initiatives aimed at empowerment and self-determination.
