Syllabus:Exploration of the issues associated with the management of human resources in the global context. Focusing on two particular groups, expatriate and local employees, and analyses the dilemmas concerning their recruitment, development, performance monitoring and management, remuneration and repatriation.
 
Unit Outcomes: On successful completion of this unit, students will have - Discussed the key issues in international human resource management. Understood the various factors that differentiate international human resource management from domestic human resource management functions. Explained the reasons for expatriate success and failure. Discussed the operational and strategic requirements of human resource management in a global context.
