Syllabus:Appropriate aims and purposes - learning experiences to fit those aims, organising and structuring of these learning experiences, media and strategies which might be used, evaluation of the effectiveness of the experiences. Each of these aspects will be examined in relation to the needs of pupils with different abilities, backgrounds, interests and enthusiasms.
 
Unit Outcomes: On successful completion of this unit, students will have- An understanding and appreciation of the development of the learner and the knowledge and skills to make decisions in relation to appropriate pedagogy. Been reflective, self motivated and critical in their approach to learning. An understanding and appreciation of the knowledge which underpins education. Used appropriate resources and instructional technologies in teaching. Used interpersonal skills to enhance teaching and learning outcomes. Valued and implemented practices that promote personal and professional growth. An understanding of the historical context relevant to teaching and learning. Understood that values underpin and shape the curriculum, teaching and learning. Valued and demonstrated exemplary literacy and numerology knowledge and skills. Understood the culture of schools and are equipped to work individually and collaboratively in educational settings.
