Syllabus:Well completion design, well flow performance concepts, tubing design and selection, well intervention and workover techniques, completion fluids, perforating, completion equipment, production logging, artificial lift, sand stabilisation and exclusion, production optimisation, well flow performance evaluation, stimulation, new technology, surface production facilities and operation. Unit Outcomes: A student who completes this unit will be familiar with the basic technology of well completion, stimulation techniques, well performance and production enhancement. A student who completes this unit in addition to Drilling Engineering, Formation Evaluation and Fundamentals of Reservoir Engineering can practise as a production technologist. Production technology is a specific discipline in the upstream petroleum industry.
