Syllabus:Use of environmental impact assessment as a planning and management tool. Review of environmental impact assessment documents. Development of monitoring programs and the use of data in developing and modifying environmental impact assessments.
 
Unit Outcomes: On successful completion of this unit students will have gained basic competency in the theory and application of environmental impact assessment, including the licensing and auditing functions, and a working understanding of the development and application of environmental impact assessment in Western Australia, through the completion of a group project.
