Syllabus:Detailed analysis of the anatomical basis of limb movement and posture. Principles of biomechanics. Detailed prosection of anatomical specimens, the anatomical basis of selected musculo-skeletal spinal cord and peripheral nerve disorders.
 
Unit Outcomes: On successful completion of this unit students will have - Identified the joint ranges of motion and muscle actions and involved in any given posture or movement pattern. Applied biomechanical principles in the analysis of any given posture or movement pattern. Developed prosection skills and prosected an anatomical specimen. Intensively researched one aspect of musculoskeletal anatomy and presented their findings. Described the anatomical basis of selected common musculoskeletal disorders, such as joint subluxations, fractures, muscle strain and overuse syndrome. Predicted functional outcomes of spinal cord and limb injuries on the basis of knowledge of musculoskeletal and nerve anatomy. Explained the application of biomechanical principles toward themanagement of musculoskeletal disorders.
