Syllabus:

Security issues in real time and distributed software systems. Hardware and software security issues. Legal aspects of software systems, safety and security.

Unit Outcomes:

The aim of this unit is to expose students to the basic techniques and standards of information security and network security. The topics include conventional cryptography systems, public key cryptography systems, authentication and hash functions, network and system security and firewalls.
