Syllabus:Provides the opportunity to critique the academic literature pertaining to their research topic. In preparing an annotated bibliography, followed by an extensive literature review, an exploration of the literature in-depth and also location of individual research topic within the appropriate academic discourse(s).
 
Unit Outcomes: On successful completion of this unit, students will have- Developed ompetence in selecting a research topic and developing a research question within the field of Asian Studies. Conducted a literature search on the topic and research question selected. Prepared an annotated bibliography using the major references in the literature search. Developed a literature review from the bibliography and other references.
