Syllabus:The interplay between physical, biological and geological processes has influenced Earth Systems and evolution for over four billion yeas. Examination of the key processes and outcomes of significance to Earth, life and environmental scientists, and to others needing to understand the way the Earth and the life upon it have interacted.
 
Unit Outcomes: On completion of this unit, students will have - A broad perspective of the evolution of the Earth and it's biota over the last four billion years. An understanding of the current and future environmental changes occurring on the Earth. An understanding of the natural processes of biotic evolution and physical changes that have occurred in the geological past.
