Syllabus:Information structures and data transformation (including XML - Extensible Markup Language), XML schemas and XSLT (Extensible Stylesheet Language Transformation). Communication protocols and definitions for web services (including SOAP - Simple Object Access Protocol), UDDI (Universal Discovery Description and Integration) and WSDL (Web Services Description Language). Web service development (client and server). Security and data integrity. Integration of web services.
 
Unit Outcomes: On successful completion of this unit students will be able to - Use XML (Extensible Markup Language) to define information structures and transform data. Understand the communication protocols and definitions associated with web services. Develop a webservice (client and server) with appropriate security and data integrity. Develop an application through integrating several web services.
