Syllabus:Introduction to the theory and practice of television current affairs, requiring critical analysis of current affairs journalism by presenting detailed tutorials on selected programs. Development of the necessary research, production and team-building skills for the medium. The completion of three major practical assignments to demonstrate professional skills is required.
 
Unit Outcomes: On successful completion of this unit, students will have been introduced to the theory and practice of television journalism. Critically analysed TV news and current affairs journalism by presenting detailed tutorials on selected programmes. Developed the necessary research, production and team-building skills for TV news and current affairs. Completed three major practical assignments during the unit to demonstrate their proficiency.
