Syllabus:Builds on Film and Television 241 and extends knowledge and understanding of the requirements of narrative scriptwriting, exploring elements of character development, planning and writing treatments, scene breakdowns and bibles as well as writing and pitching for short dramas, series and other screen formats.
 
Unit Outcomes: On completion of this unit students will be able to demonstrate a competence in the skills of writing for film (drama). Have written the synopsis, treatment and draft script for a three minute (drama). Have contributed substantially, as a member of a team, to the planning, research, pitching, writing and development of a script for a 15 minute film (drama).
