Syllabus:	Exploration of the history, theory, and ideas that enable us to think about film, including film language before the classic Hollywood style, Hollywood as an industry and imagery, theories of spectatorship, cinema and politics, cinema and space and the concept of genre.
Unit Outcomes:	On successful completion of this unit, students will have- Worked at a level commensurate with graduate study.
