Syllabus:Exploration of the relationship between visual representations of the body and the cultural ideologies than inform them with attention given to both historical and contemporary issues concerning the depiction of the body in visual culture.
 
Unit Outcomes: On successful completion of this unit, students will have an understanding of various aspects concerning the representation of the body in visual culture. The ability to analyse how artists have interpreted cultural ideologies of the body and developed critical appreciation of concepts involved in the cultural production of meaning in the visual arts.
