Syllabus:	This unit is about developing students skills in academic and professional contexts and in oral communication. These skills - accessing information, use of the Harvard referencing system, paraphrasing information, critical analysis of texts and oral presentation - will be confirmed in the production of key assignments required by the unit.
Unit Outcomes:	On successful completion of this unit students will have- Critically evaluated information from books, journals, the Internet and personal interviews. Paraphrased infromation, and developed an argument. Accurately used the Harvard referencing system and worked effectively in groups or teams and as individuals.
