Syllabus:Two 'core' teaching modules then have the opportunity to work within a set of optional 'streams'. Students have access to a huge library of networked multimedia, both CD-ROM and the Internet and a suite of synchronous and asynchronous communication tools, including email, bulletin boards, chat rooms and hypertext logging.
 
Unit Outcomes: Upon completion, the student will improve their own professional productivity, through the development of an understanding of the role in technology in meeting the Curriculum Framework's philosophy, especially with respect to linkages across the learningareas, student outcomes, and student competencies and utilising a variety of techniques and technologies to access, analyse, interpret, synthesise, apply, use and communicate information. Improve their ability to use and integrate IT appropriately by utilising a variety of hardware, software, and telecommunication media to create, access, adapt, integrate, ethically use, apply and evaluate technologically-based instructional materials and understanding the range of technology infrastructures appropriate to education.

Unit Assessment Breakdown: There are four items of formal assessment, Assignment 1: Participation Bulletin Board. (10%), Assignment 2: Creating a simple web site (20%), Assignment 3: Stream report: (40%), Assignment 4: Module 6 & 7 Personal Portfolio (reading log / reflections / short computing assignments)) (30%)
