Syllabus:Provides a set of 'core' teaching modules that introduce teachers to the effective integration of learning technologies in teaching. A set of "Personal Computing Tutorials". Access to a huge library of networked multimedia, both CD-Rom and the Internet, and a suite of synchronous and asynchronous communication tools, including email, bulletin boards, chat rooms and hypertext logging.
 
Unit Outcomes: Upon completion of the unit students will- possess a comprehensive understanding of a range of information technologies appropriate to their profession, and how these technologies can be utilised to meet the objectives of the curriculum framework and specific learning outcomes, possess the confidence and competence in using appropriate information technologies to access, retrieve, analyse, enterpret, evaluate, synthesise, apply, use and communicate information, and possess the confidence and competence in using desktop computers, local networks, keyboarding/word processing/desktop publishing, spreadsheats, databases, multimedia and telecommunications to develop use and evaluate classroom instructional materials.
