Syllabus:Use of environmental impact assessment as a planning and management tool. Review of environmental impact assessment documents. Development of monitoring programs and the use of data in developing and modifying environmental impact assessments.
 
Unit Outcomes: On successful completion of this unit students will have gained basic competency in the theory and application of environmental impact assessment and an understanding of the development and application of environmental impact assessment in Western Australia.
