Syllabus:Sample types and laboratory protocols. Analysis of blood cultures. Understanding imprinting, including Prader-Willi and Angelman Syndromes. Telomeres including structure, function and examination.
 
Unit Outcomes: On successful completion of this unit students will have - Developed a strong knowledge of the theory behind several clinical conditions and how they can be examined in a laboratory setting. Additionally developed the ability to describe the clinical tools that are used.
