Syllabus:Development of both an understanding of the television studio production environment to design, script and produce multi-camera programs in a variety of formats such as news, sport and light entertainment.
 
Unit Outcomes: On completion of this unit students will have demonstrated - An understanding of the processes and contexts of broadcast television production, with a particular emphasis on multi-cam, studio-based production, to produce programs for regular broadcast. Advanced studio production skills and be able to carry out the various roles and functions associated with multi-camera, studio-based production. Professional conduct and collaboration. An understanding of the interface between location and the studio program content and be able to incorporate both in productions at a level suitable for broadcast. An understanding of the roles of, and relationships between key elements of the broadcast industry such as journalists/reporters and production crews and understand the role of the latter in the news and current affairs production. An ability to make informed decisions in relation to stylistic, technical and economic aspects of productions on which they occupy roles.
