Syllabus:Primary health care principles. Health education. Teaching and learning in nursing. Principles of health counselling. Nursing care relevant to practice - interviewing, observation and documentation.
 
Unit Outcomes: On successful completion of this unit students will have - Demonstrated the capacity to apply principles of Primary Health Care in nursing across the lifespan. Demonstrated achievement of competencies in specific clinical settings. Applied principles of teaching and learning in clinical practice. Discussed wellness and health in relation to research in primary health care.
