Syllabus:Traditional folk culture as distinct from high or commercial popular culture. Ethnic, regional, occupational and other communities in Australia. Field work consists of individual projects, particularly in documenting intangible aspects of culture such asbeliefs, customs, rituals, speech, pastimes or children's games.
 
Unit Outcomes: On successful completion of this unit students will have - Understood the important aspects of Australian multicultural folklore and life, including music, dance, art, custom, handcrafts, speech, story and food.
