Syllabus:Descriptive statistics, probability distributions, concepts of hypothesis testing, estimation and confidence intervals. Nonparametric methods. Multivariate analyses including two way ANOVA, ANCOVA, simple and multiple linear regression and repeated measures. Use of SPSS statistical software to create, edit and analyse health research data.
 
Unit Outcomes: On successful completion of this unit students will be able to - Apply inferential and multivariate statistics to study designs. Use a statistical software package to conduct basic analyses of epidemiological data and evaluate statistical analyses in thehealth research literature.
