Syllabus:The history of quality. Quality issues related to leadership, planning, management of information and the role of the consumer. Tools for process analysis and management. Output and outcomes of quality development, external recognition of quality programs.
 
Unit Outcomes: On successful completion of this unit, students will be able to- Review systems theory in relation to quality development. Examined the development of quality management procedures in health care. Define the role of leadership in quality outcomes. Investigate techniques in measurement, data gathering and information management in quality development. Examine approaches to team development. Explore issues relating to outcome measurement. Discuss approaches to the external recognition of quality frameworks.
