Syllabus:Examines applied anatomy of the hand and upper limb (osteology, arthrology, myology, neurology and angiology). Kinesiological and biomechanical principles underlying normal hand abnormal hand and upper limb function are also explored.
 
Unit Outcomes: Upon completion of this unit, students will have - Identified and described normal structure and principles of function of the musculo-skeletal and nervous systems of the shoulder, hand and upper limb. Applied biomechanical principles to the analysis of normal and abnormal movement patterns. Described pathomechanics of deformity and dysfunction evident in the shoulder, hand and upper limb following disease or injury. Demonstrated the application of knowledge of anatomy and kinesiology to clinical problemsolving.
