Syllabus:Principles of epidemiology and their application to controlling the spread of infectious diseases. The application of hygienic, sterilisation, disinfection and surveillance techniques to the control of infectious diseases.
 
Unit Outcomes: On successful completion of this unit students will have - Developed an understanding of the procedures used in the control of infectious diseases and the quantitative aspects of the spread of infectious diseases.
