Syllabus:Self-initiated projects to develop skills in the techniques and processes of one of the following specialisations within the visual arts - drawing, figure drawing, fibre, textiles, fashion, paint, print media, sculpture, jewellery - three dimensional design, electronic arts, audio-visual, photography and professional practicum.
 
Unit Outcomes: On successful completion of this unit, students will have- Developed a portfolio of work demonstrating their ability to deal with a wide range of traditional and contemporary technologies and processes within their selected area. Demonstrated a clear visual articulation of ideas using appropriate media and processes. Demonstrated their ability to employ appropriate skills and processes in creating resolved artworks. Demonstrated advanced skills in working in a specific discipline of the visual arts. Initiated and successfully completed projects using appropriate techniques and raw materials. Effectively documented and presented ideas indicating both scope and depth of research.
