Syllabus:Staff and self-initiated projects to develop skills in the techniques and processes of one of the following specialisations within the visual arts - drawing, figure drawing, fibre, textiles, fashion, paint, print media, sculpture, jewellery - three dimensional design, electronic arts, audio-visual, photography and professional practicum.
 
Unit Outcomes: On successful completion of this unit, students will have- Developed a portfolio of work demonstrating their ability to deal with a wide range of traditional and contemporary technologies and processes within their selected area. Further identified and developed imaginative ideas and strategies for the conceptualisation and making of artworks. Demonstrated appropriate skills and an understanding of appropriate processes in exploring and making artworks. Demonstrated appropriate skills in working in a specific discipline of the visual arts. Successfully completed set projects using appropriate techniques and raw materials and to initiate and successfully resolve their own projects.
