Syllabus:Recent theory and practice of comminution, flotation and gravity separation, with emphasis on modelling and computer simulation using packages such as the JKSimet package. Student discussion papers and plant visits.
 
Unit Outcomes: On successful completion of this unit, students will have- Understood the basic concepts of process modelling. Developed a simple process model. Become familiarised with the common simulation packages.
