Syllabus:A balance of theoretical and practical workshops to enhance understanding of the movement arts in early education. Students devise movement and expressive experiences for young children to facilitate learning through stimulating the imagination, enhancing language development and promoting an understanding of rhythm and movement education.
 
Unit Outcomes: On successful completion of this unit students will have- Identified significant stages in movement development of young children. Participated in natural movement tasks with confidence and spontaneity. Facilitated imaginative movement opportunities for an individual child and with a group of young children. Devised outlines for future programming of integrated experiences for children based on movement arts.
