Syllabus:Current perspectives and classroom practices for educating children with special needs. A variety of diagnostic, assessment and remediation strategies are examined, including programming, instructional practices and classroom management strategies for children with special needs.
 
Unit Outcomes: On successful completion of this unit, students will have- Identified when a student is at educational risk of failure. Identified and utilised instruments to diagnose the difficulties of students with special education needs. Designed appropriate classroom-based programs for students with special educational needs. Developed strategies to manage the learning, social and emotional behaviours of students with special needs. Organised the classroom learning environment to maximise the learning outcomes of students with special needs.
