Syllabus:Organisational forms - traditional, distributed, virtual, regional, global, distributed multi-disciplinary and multi-cultural work teams, business process design, electronic commerce enabled business applications including accounting, banking, marketing, trading, retailing, issues including the legal framework and security, telecommuting, cultural differences, ethics, societal impacts and technology transfer.
 
Unit Outcomes: On successful completion of this unit, students will have - Applied ideas in electronic commerce in a practical way using database and web based tools. Understood the business implications of electronic commerce applications from various perspectives. Identified opportunities for improving existing business processes using electronic commerce.
