Syllabus:Practical experience of measuring selected examples of commercial building trades. Introduction to contract documents, language of specifications, types of clauses, sources of information, specification structure/content, preliminaries specification, typical trade specifications, cross referencing and coordination of consultants. Mensuration, statistics, discounted cash flow, probability.
 
Unit Outcomes: On successful completion of this unit, students will have- An understanding of the use of statistics and financial mathematics as applied to building problems.
