Syllabus:Relevant research methods - students will undertake tutorial work covering literature review. Philosophy of scientific research, ethics in research, scientific misconduct, scientific report writing, ethics in human and animal research. Literature reviewof the intended area of research. Formulation of a research proposal and seminar presentation.
 
Unit Outcomes: On successful completion of this unit students will have emonstrated the ability to - undertake and submit a literature review on an intended area of research, design a research proposal and to present information in a seminar forum to staff and students.
