Syllabus:An understanding of what is involved in working within Aboriginal communities, private industry, or a combination of the two. The structure within both of these areas and highlights crosscultural and intracultural relationships and their influence in thework place.
 
Unit Outcomes: On successful completion of this unit, students will have- Identified and defined culture and associated values, norms and beliefs. Identified ways in which cultures are similar or different. Identified the cultures structure and processes within the organisation. Demonstrated a practical ability to utilise liaison, negotiation and mediation skills to effectively interact between different cultures and organisation groups. Discussed a variety of Aboriginal values and ethics as they apply within a modern work environment. Articulated and applied Aboriginal ways of working in the workplace. Appropriately consulted with networks and developed network strategies. Effectively worked in Aboriginal community scientific and technological environment.
