Syllabus:Information asymmetry and signaling, agency theory, capital markets and sources of funds, capital budgeting under uncertainty, capital structure, divident policy, the market for corporate control, and corporate governance.
 
Unit Outcomes: Finance (Coporate) 307 focuses on some of the salient developments in corporate finance theory and the presentation of relevant tools and techniques to facilitate decision making. It aims to expose students to and familiarise them with Corporate sector financial management by examining the issues faced by financial mangers of public companies. On completion of this unit, students will have developed - In greater depth an understanding of proven theories of corporate finance. An understanding of and skill in the application of financial management tools and techniques. Investigate recent innovations in financial markets.
