Syllabus:

Analysis - background investigation and management reporting, data collection and documentation, communication skills, entity modelling and data analysis. Requirements determination - identification and quantification of systems objectives. Identification of system requirements hardware, software, economics, personnel, environment and government, cost benefit appraisal. Logical system description. Design - consideration of systems design alternatives. Manual support, implementation planning, and management presentation. Project management.

Unit Outcomes:

On successful completion of this unit, students will have - Interacted with and managed a business client. Developed and presented an information systems project proposal. Developed and presented an analysis and design specification. Worked in a team to develop a project. Applied project management techniques to manage project development.
