Syllabus:Introduction to methodologies for studying management from a comparative perspective, and to highlight the emerging issues for an international manager. The practical issues of adaptation needed in cross-cultural or cross-national managerial interfaces are also considered extensively.
 
Unit Outcomes: On successful completion of this unit, students will have - An understanding of the key dimensions that shape management approaches in international organisations. A knowledge of major theoretical concepts relevant to international management. An appreciation of the importance of external disciplines, for example, economics, geography, history, languages, law, political science.

Unit Assessment Breakdown: To successfully complete this unit you must attain at least half marks in each of the assessment components. These are - Class participation 10%. Final Exam 50%. Group Case study presentation 10%. Group Research Paper 20%. Group Research Paper Presentation 10%. This is by grade/mark assessment.
