Syllabus:Delivery of strategies for health restoration to a selected client population. Evaluation of the strategies through the establishment of outcome criteria and application of standards of nursing practice. Multidimensional assessment of health. Biological, psychological, social, cultural and developmental dimensions of health. Integrated and comprehensive plan of care.
 
Unit Outcomes: On successful completion of this unit, students will have- Provided advanced nursing care to restore the health of a selected client population. Evaluated a personal philosophy of advanced nursing practice regarding the restoration of health in a selected client population. Evaluated the roles of the advanced nurse in the provision of care to restore the health of a selected client population. Utilised the principles of scientific inquiry in the evaluation of nursing care to restore the health of a selected client population. Identified the decisions nurses in selected roles make that are dependent upon knowledge of advanced practice in the restorative mode for a selected client population. Evaluated collaboration with members of the health care team andothers to provide health restoration strategies to adult individuals and groups. Used nursing process in accord with processes used by health care disciplines in meeting the needs of a specified client population.
