Syllabus:An introduction to and historical overview of planning theory including modern and post modern perspectives within the context of ethical practice. An evaluation of planning theories and their contribution to formulation of planning policy.
 
Unit Outcomes: On successful completion of this unit, students will have developed an understanding of planning theories. Critically reviewed past and present trends of planning theories. Investigated the links between planning theory and planning practice.
