Syllabus:Theoretical elements of dramatic and narrative film-making in a series of practical workshops and group exercises to develop skills in script realisation, the use of vision and sound elements, and approaches to working with actors.
 
Unit Outcomes: On completion of this unit students will have demonstrated - An understanding of how to operate digital video and associated production equipment in situations typical of a single-camera drama production. A developed understanding of the processes and protocols of drama production. A developed understanding of the various areas of specialization involved in drama production. An understanding of the ways in which these various areas of specialization interrelate in the production of screen drama. Intermediate practical expertise in at least two of these areas of specialization through the production of short drama exercises.
