Syllabus:The Australian peoples - historical and cultural background, government and politics, attitudes and values, the law, cinema, media, cultural myths and manners, language, popular culture, folklore, art, sport, environment, current affairs and issues.
 
Unit Outcomes: On completion of this unit students will familiarise international students with Australian society and culture. Allow students to experience, under guided and informed conditions, slected cultural events and institutions, including galleries, museums and events. Encourage students to compare and contrast their own cultures with that of Australia, through learning, experience, discussion, conversation and writing.
